Prof Jaap Doek will focus on the gap between rhetoric and practice in relation to the UNCRC and children's rights more generally but more specifically on what professionals working in the field can do to try to bridge the gap.

Site Visit: Caerphilly Children's Centre
Caerphilly Children's Centre is a multi agency project for children and young people with disabilities living in the borough of Caerphilly. The age range is birth to 18. The Centre delivers a range of play, medical, therapy and family support services in a range of locations including home, school and on site. The Children's Centre model is based on a partnership approach with health, the local authority, parents and local fundraisers and is managed by NCH.
